Q: Is the locking mechanism resistant to tampering and weather? 

A: Yes. Our telescopic bollards are equipped with high-security, anti-drill integrated locks. The lock is positioned at the top or side with a protective cover to prevent dirt, water, and debris from entering the mechanism, ensuring smooth operation in all climates.  

Q: How deep does the foundation need to be for installation? 

A: The depth of the foundation typically corresponds to the height of the bollard plus an additional 100–200mm for the drainage layer. For a standard 600mm bollard, a borehole of approximately 800mm is required to ensure stability and proper water runoff.

Q: Can these bollards be installed in areas with high groundwater levels? 

A: For areas with poor natural drainage or high water tables, we recommend connecting the bollard foundation to a soakaway or a dedicated drainage pipe. This prevents water from sitting in the outer casing and extends the lifespan of the internal components.

Q: What is the weight limit for vehicles driving over the retracted bollard? 

A: When fully retracted, our telescopic bollards are designed to be flush with the ground and can support standard vehicular traffic, including delivery vans and passenger cars, without sustaining damage.
