A: It uses an internal high-pressure gas-strut mechanism. When you turn the key to unlock it, the stored gas pressure automatically lifts the post into the locked position. To lower it, you simply unlock it and apply downward pressure with your foot until it clicks into the ground-level base.

A: Because the post length is between 1000mm and 1500mm, you typically need a foundation pit slightly deeper than the total length of the unit to allow for a drainage layer (crushed stone/gravel) at the bottom. This ensures water doesn't pool around the mechanical components.
